Chris Elsmark is head of Thornburg Investment Management Limited, the London-headquartered organization responsible for institutions and professional investors outside the United States. He has almost 30 years of experience in all aspects of the financial services industry.
Chris’ prior experience encompasses numerous key positions in asset management, such as leading client portfolio management, product development, distribution, client servicing and marketing. He has served at a senior level at T. Rowe Price Group Inc., BNP Paribas Investment Partners and Scottish Widows Investment Partnerships, including responsibility as head of global institutional business and co-head of global client services. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, Chris was senior client portfolio manager and headed the client portfolio management and client servicing team for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s US$54 billion European equity business worldwide.
Chris holds an MA with honors in economics and law from the University of Edinburgh, and an MBA (with Director’s Commendation) from Cass Business School, City University of London.
